TSA Badge Holder Screening
Purple Badge Access – SIDA Secure Area
- Access: 24/7 secure access with random aviation screening; for employees reporting to work only, managed by ACTS.
- Personal Travel: Must go through TSA checkpoint as normal; use your airline ticket.
- Entry Process:
- Airport Worker Screening: Swipe Purple badge at reader to open screening door (far left)
- Crew/Employee lane: TSA position is in place in the sterile silver area (far right).
- After hours, an officer (ACPD/ACTS) is assigned to the checkpoint—badges still screened at reader.
- Dedicated Employee Lane for everyone: Managed by TSA; employees should not mingle with passengers anymore.
Airport Worker Screening
- ACTS: screen employees with purple badges
- ACTS will turn away silver badge holders attempting purple badge access.
- Off hours: screening supported by ACPD & ACTS.
- Two ACTS personnel always stationed to prevent backups; a floater can assist if bottlenecks occur.
- Employees may bring liquids, lunches, etc. through Airport Worker screening.
- Important: Purple badge access is for work travel only.
Personal Travel Notes
- Must use TSA checkpoint for personal trips (cannot use Airport Worker Screening).
