Deepak Nayyar’s imprint is all over the soon-to-be-opened landside terminal at Pittsburgh International Airport. The veteran information technical leader came to Allegheny County Airport Authority two years ago, putting his talents to bear on just about every aspect of Pittsburgh International Airport and Allegheny County Airport. That’s included helping to build resilience at the existing operations and properties. But a big part is building connectivity at PIT’s new $1.7 billion landside terminal.
According to Nayyar, 18 new operational technologies are being deployed at the new terminal, with a focus on maximizing safety and security and leading not only PIT, but also the aviation industry, toward what he described as a “technology revolution.” Nayyar has over two decades of experience in the technology sector, including a prior stint at EQT Corp.
