An expected record number of travelers is expected to walk through the new airport terminal for Christmas and New Year’s this year, based on data from the Allegheny County Airport Authority. Many of the travelers leaving and arriving in Pittsburgh are seeing the new terminal for the first time.
“I came early, so I could look around and take it in,” said Derek Hall, while on his way to Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. “I’m a retired construction guy, so I’ve been watching and following the progress, and I wanted to have some time, walk around, and investigate. It’s beautiful.”
