The new terminal at Pittsburgh International Airport is nearing completion, with construction approximately 90 percent finished. Its predecessor was built many years ago, when the airport was seeing 21 million passengers –with about 80 percent being connected flights.

Fast forward to now, the airports sees just under 10 million passengers, with the majority starting and ending their journey in Pittsburgh. “We are oversized, so this project has always been about right-sizing the airport and modernizing,” said Paul Hoback, executive vice president and chief development officer for the Allegheny County Airport Authority.
