Members of the public will be soon able to get their first inside look at the soon-to-be-opened landside terminal at Pittsburgh International Airport. The airport on Thursday announced it will hold an open house from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11. Registration will be required, and the process will open next week.
It will be the second time members of the public will be able to see the nearly finished $1.7 billion terminal, which will replace the existing terminal and connect directly to the airside terminal and gates. On Sept. 20, about 2,000 people from the community have been invited to participate in a test of the airport’s state-of-the-art terminal to make sure everything is going well ahead of the expected opening later this year. The airport authority hasn’t yet set the opening date.
