The next piece of Pittsburgh International Airport’s transformation was unveiled Tuesday with the official opening of five new food service options through a new deal with SSP America.
The brands are local mainstay Convive Coffee Roastery, Shake Shack, Stack & Press, Mi Casa Cantina and Bad Egg Breakfast Shack, all in the center core and A concourse in the airside terminal of Pittsburgh International Airport. Each had a soft launch over the past several weeks but were officially celebrated as opening with a series of ribbon cuttings and a walking tour.

One of the concessions, Convive Coffee Roastery, is a 10-year-old brand founded in McCandless by Ryland and Katie Weber. Another is the nationally known Shake Shack, which announced last year it would be coming to Pittsburgh International Airport. The other three are brands by the management company, SSP America, which has a series of restaurants at airports all around the United States and the world.
