Pittsburgh International Airport has created a new Kids Play Area to replace and expand upon its previous Kidsport area, bringing the space closer to the centre of the terminal. The space has been designed by the airport’s Experience and Design team and constructed by the Field and Facilities Maintenance teams, with careful consideration of families’ needs through research initiatives.

The Kids Play Area features rotating SPUN Chairs, a WillyGoat Climbing Mound, a custom runway rug, and a baby-changing space. Additionally, exhibit designers from the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh developed custom aviation-themed wallpaper and an interactive space-themed art installation for the space.
