On Nov. 18, Pittsburgh International Airport will open a $1.7 billion terminal that retires a 1990s hub built for a single airline and replaces it with an origin-and-destination airport built around local passengers.
The new terminal is the culmination of more than a decade of planning, preparation and work—and four years of construction. The opening officially ushers in the next era for the region’s travelers and a new front door for Pittsburgh.
