When the new Pittsburgh International Airport landside terminal opens on Tuesday morning, departing passengers’ first encounter will be the new entry off I-376 and the new parking options that are opening that morning, too.
It won’t be your previous experience, either: Opening Tuesday will be a new state-of-the-art parking garage and a surface lot, both within close walking distance of the landside terminal, 6,000 new spaces all told. There also will be a newly branded lot carved from the existing long-term, economy and extended spaces that will offer thousands more spots that will be near heated, covered bus shelters and served every 10 minutes by a shuttle bus.
