The Pittsburgh International Airport is inviting the public to an open house for the long awaited new terminal. The $1.7 billion modernization project began in 2019 and is offering a first look at the terminal’s updated features on Oct. 11 from noon to 7 p.m.

“We’ve said from the beginning that this new state-of-the-art terminal is built for Pittsburgh, by Pittsburgh and we are excited to open the doors to the public to tour,” Allegheny County Airport Authority CEO Christina Cassotis said in a news release. The open house follows Pittsburgh International Airport’s “public trial” on Sept. 20, where over 2,000 members of the public are expected test the new terminal’s systems, as well as the Oct. 3 gala for partners and organizations involved in building the project.
