When it came time to work the final day of the old landside terminal at Pittsburgh International Airport and on the first day of the new terminal, Faith Krause knew she had to do it. She had, after all, worked as an airline employee and then an airport volunteer, at all three terminals.

Krause volunteered to help passengers during the 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. shift at the airport information desk Monday to say goodbye. “I wanted to take my last train ride,” Krause said.
