The moment is almost here. And if you were hoping for a sneak peek into Pittsburgh International Airport’s new $1.7 billion terminal before it officially opens to passengers, welcome aboard. The public is invited to get a first look at the terminal during a “special Community Open House” in October, the airport announced Thursday.
“We’ve said from the beginning that this new state-of-the-art terminal is built for Pittsburgh, by Pittsburgh and we are excited to open the doors to the public to tour,” Allegheny County Airport Authority CEO Christina Cassotis said in a post on PIT’s news publication, Blue Sky News. The free event will be held from noon to 7 p.m. Oct. 11. Participants can choose time slots when completing their registration, which will open next week.
